As a child, Moyes remembers reading National Velvet  by Sillver Bagnold and how that book made her feel that, as a child, she could achieve things greater than she thought possible at the time. There is also an undercurrent of unrequited love, secrecy, and loss that gives the book an extra punch of emotion. But Moyes has a way with words that just draws a reader in. This is sikver book about a family synopsix women and the man who inadvertently falls in love with all of them. Behind the Scenes at the Museum by Kate Atkinson is a book that Moyes cites  as one that really changed her feelings about writing as she matured and silvef into her career. This is the third book I have read by Jojo Moyes and I loved the first two so much that I am on the hunt for whatever she has written so far but it seems a little hard to get the actual books here where I live so I silvsr have to resort to digital copies: There are love triangles and people pining after each other over years and decades.

I loved the Australian setting and hats off to a British writer for getting that setting so true to form; this felt so genuinely Australian. Moyes became a full-time novelist inwhen her first book Sheltering Rain was published. Jane Austen is an author whom Moyes admires for her ability to write about what truly influences love and what makes a love story realistic i.
The ending is a bit predictable but still very good. Mike falls for Liza and Hannah, too, and he sheds some of his big-city London ways the more time he spends there, but too much is already in motion.
